Social Science

The Social Science Program in the Nagoya University G30 International Program is a collaborative effort between the School of Law and the School of Economics, with additional support from the School of Informatics and Sciences. The program provides a multidisciplinary education with a focus on political science, law, economics, business administration, and information science. Students are expected to develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with a high level of ethical awareness—essential qualities for pursuing knowledge across a broad range of fields. The curriculum emphasizes management and leadership skills with a global outlook and a focus on manufacturing and industrial understanding. Upon choosing a major, students receive individual academic guidance from professors in their selected discipline and are expected to undertake graduation thesis research under faculty supervision. BEng Mechanical Engineering

Nagoya University's Mechanical Engineering Program offers a comprehensive foundation in the core disciplines of mechanical, electromechanical, and aerospace engineering. BEng Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering

Nagoya University's Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering Program is part of the university’s broader Automotive Engineering curriculum, designed to train future leaders in Japan’s globally renowned automotive sector. This program blends advanced coursework in electrical and electronic systems with hands-on, industry-relevant applications tied to modern vehicle design, intelligent transportation, and sustainable mobility. Students begin by building a strong foundation in engineering physics and mathematics, before progressing to applied subjects such as electromagnetism, power electronics, signal processing, materials science, and automotive software engineering. Emphasis is placed on emerging CASE technologies—Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric—through both lab work and seminars led by industry experts. Coursework is complemented by optional internships during academic breaks, offering direct experience with real-world automotive innovation. In their fourth year, students join a faculty-led research group, gaining practical research experience in areas such as vehicle control systems, intelligent mobility, and energy-efficient materials.
